What have I gotten myself into?

Hopefully an enjoyable morning once a month, a fun block to quilt each month in 2026,a few treats each meeting with a discount coupon to use at the store and,  perhaps, you’ll make some new friends!

What’s going to happen? 

The first Saturday of each month we’ll open the doors at 8:30am and close them back up at 9:00am. You have this window of time to get here and be ready for the morning’s program. (We plan to finish about or before 10:00am.) As you enter the shop, you will show your completed block(s) and receive a raffle ticket. No block—no ticket. This ticket serves two purposes. First, it enters you in a raffle for wonderful prizes. Second, it’s how you “buy” your next block kit. (No, you can’t get a ticket for someone else’s block.) You will also receive a current shop newsletter, maybe some other literature if there’s something we’d like you to know about, and a coupon to thank you for watching our program (aka infomercial). The coupon is good for the entire First Saturday weekend. That way if you’re not one that likes to shop with the crowd, you can come back later Saturday or on Sunday for a more leisurely shopping experience (or do both). Often there is an on-line coupon code if you prefer to shop our webstore. Then you’ll make your way to the classroom. There will also be some breakfast treats and tea for the early birds - while they last!  Feel free to browse while you’re waiting for the program to start. You can place items on hold at the cutting station. Just put your name on it and we’ll cut it after the program. 

What do I need to bring? 

January 3, 2026 (1st meeting): Just your smiling face.  You’re here to pick up your first block kit (everyone gets a raffle ticket). If you haven’t signed up, you can still do so after the program if space is available. All remaining months: Bring your completed block or $10 to purchase the next block kit (exact change is appreciated…we only accept cash or checks at the block kit tables). If you’ve registered for multiple colorways, you can get multiple free blocks each month. If you sew & show the block, you can get a ticket. For example, if you selected two colorways and you show both sewn blocks when you enter, you’ll get two tickets. If you only show one block, you only get one ticket and you’ll have to pay $10 for the other one. Show & Tell: We love to see your projects, so please bring them to share. Please include a note with your project with your name and any description you’d like us to read, and place your project at the front of the room before the program begins. You can pick up your item after the program. Please limit your shared projects to no more than two per month.
