Kids Sewing & Quilting Summer Camp
Get ready for four days of creativity, color, and sewing fun at The Quilted Otter! This camp is perfect for kids (ages 10-15) of all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced sewists, who want to make something awesome with their own hands.
Never sewn before? We’ll teach you everything you need to get started. Already love sewing? You’ll build your skills and try new techniques in a supportive, creative space.
We’ll be using the AccuQuilt cutting system, so campers can safely and easily cut fabric (no rotary cutters needed)! Each student will choose from a variety of fun sewing and quilting projects, such as pillows, mini quilts, bags, and more, so you can create something that’s totally you.
Along the way, you’ll learn how to use a sewing machine, play with colors and patterns, and turn fabric into something unique. Plus, you’ll meet other creative kids and have a blast making projects you’ll be proud to take home.
All supplies are included! Campers are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine so they can get the most practice using the machine they have at home, but we also have machines available if needed, which can be reserved by emailing thequiltedotter@gmail.com.

| Instructor Bio: | Katie is a high school mathematics teacher by day and a creative quilter and designer in her down time. This combination is perfect to be the instructor of our summer quilt camp for kids. She has a positive and inclusive attitude and teaching quilting through doing.. not just listening to an instructor. Students will jump right in and make a few projects they will be proud to take home - but at the same time learn the essential which will allow studetns to increase their knowledge and try more challenging projects as they move forward. We invite you to join Katie and be part of her passion for quilting. |
