Summer Skillbuilders

Each Thursday Night in this Six Week Summer Series We Will Have a Skillbuilder Workshop - project based, focusing on skills that with improvement will increase the overall appearance of your quilts.  

June 4th - That Darn ¼" seam!
June 11th - Measuring and Cutting Accuracy
June 18th - Warped or stretched fabric and pressing errors
June 25th - Matching Points
July 2nd - Wrong Size Blocks 
July 9th - Wavy borders
July 16th - Color Choice and Placement 
July 23rd - Fly away Geese!

Each week will have a project that focuses on the skills emphasized in that week.  Kits for the projects can be purchased at The Quilted Otter OR students may bring their own supplies for the project from a supplies list sent one week prior to the class date.  

Sign Up for One Class or the Entire Series!  Students that attend all eights sessions will receive a special gift and discount card for 15% all store purchases for the rest of Summer 2026! (valid until Sept. 21st 2026 - can be used multiple times in store or online)

Sewing Supplies needed for each class:  

• Sewing Machine – Cleaned, good working order, with plug and foot pedal -
ready for class
• Neutral thread –I like to use cotton thread to piece blocks and bobbin
filled with same thread
• Extra needles
• Wonder clips / Pins
• Water-soluble pen/pencil
• Ruler
• Fabric Glue
• Scissors
• Quarter inch foot helpful but not required
• Seam ripper
